I've never kayaked before
That's OK. Many of our members started without knowing how to kayak. Being able to swim is an advantage, but not essential. The most important things is that you are comfortable in and on the water.
I've messaged the club when should I expect a response?
The club is run by volunteers and committee members . We do try our best to get back to you in a timely manner but if you don't receive a response in a few days, please message again.
First club evening what should I bring with me?
On your first club night, wear your swimsuit and If you have a wetsuit or drysuit wear or bring that along also. We do have wetsuits available for people to use, these are on a first come first serve basis. We have a variety of sizes but it's advisable to bring your own. Wear shoes that you do not mind getting wet and bring a towel and a change of clothes and shoes. If you wear glasses, please have a band or cord to keep them secure. You may want to bring a hot drink for when you come off the water too.
What equipment does the club provide?
The club can provide wetsuits, buoyancy aids, paddles, helmets, boats and other specialist kit.
I am in the area on holiday can I rent equipment?
Equipment is available for members' use only, however if you are a regular visitor to the area, why not consider joining the club?
