White Water Kayaking

The River Brora is the closest runnable river. It is an interesting grade 2 river with some exciting and enjoyable features. We also organise club trips to the River Helmsdale which offers a range of kayaking from grade 1 to 4.

Further afield, the River Garry is a dam release grade 3 giving consistent water levels when there is less rain in the Summer months. Weekend trips to The Spey or similar rivers allow us to experience a variety of challenges.

Duck race

The club assists with charity duck races, where a few hundred ducks are released on the Lower Brora. We collect them all before they escape to the sea.

Skills Sessions

We offer sessions on the loch to practice skills and occasionally organise courses to ensure our members are trained in rescue and safety techniques.
